Dear Folks:
Am just getting ready to take a flight to that dream of the years - Ah, “Wonderful, wonderful, Copenhagen.” harcourt will be there with open arms, waiting for his shippment of tobacco to arrive - he hates the European substitute, i.e. ground up manure.
Went to New Haven, Conn. last Thursday, to try and get a Yale graduate for Malad - and maybe we scored. Then the next two days hit Princeton, got there just as Robbie’s graduation class started walking out the door...at least I missed the lot of uneasy sitting and nauseous preaching. He has a Jaguar, so we were constantly occupied with young “lovelies,” but then,l ene even that was a welcome relief from the “barren years,”; picnics, moonlit drives, boating on the lake, ad inf. It as a real joy to experience the wonderful Christian fellowship with him again.
Back in New York I had only 1 ½ days left so made the most o of it. Visited the Brick Pres. church, John Fluster Dulles’; t the guy was verbal chloroform, and put me promptly to sleep. The ascended the Tower of Babbel (empire State Bldg.); made an exhaustive study of the Metropolitan Art Museum in a couple of hours; took the subways all over creation and was thorougly lost all the time; visited Greenwich villahe and saw and talked to some of the missfits who live in such places - also, down th there I saw the annual art show (outdoor) which went for blocks and blocks. THen at night went to the Broadway musical, “The West Side Story.” verry good.......Having plumbed the depths of New York’s excitement, now in 20 minutes will take flight to Copenhagen.
Just mailed off some shirts and other accumulated stuff which I want kept. Will you please find some place to store all the stuff I send to you from time to time? It might even be a good idea to put all the letters you received from me in some place as it would be a good commentary of the trip. Also, am enclosing the one “airogramme I have left....you can buy these at the post office.” They cost 5c less than sending a letter. SEND EVERYTHING AIRMAIL! (that is except packages My address in Paris is changed, it is now (Address edited from this space by tcc)
Tired out those new walking shoes - and they are the best ever - thanks a lot, they are just axactly what the doctor ordered.
Write me in Copenhagen, and then in Paris....after all can’t you see I want to know what is going on?
Love
Bruce
